2nd Congressional District Convention  

 Democratic Party of New Mexico

The 2nd Congressional District Convention will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2008.  The Democratic Party of Dona Ana County will host the event at the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum located at 4100 Dripping Springs Rd. in Las Cruces, NM. Registration will begin at 9AM and the convention will be called to order at 10AM.  

Delegates to the Congressional District Conventions include only the following: 

1. State Central Committee members from the district in which they reside; 

2.  Delegates elected to the 2008 Pre-Primary State Convention on March 15, 2008 who file the attached statement with DPNM by 5pm on March 20, 2008; and 

3. Registered Democrats who participated in the 2008 Democratic Presidential Caucus on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 by casting a vote at a caucus site or by mail and who file the attached statement with DPNM by 5pm on March 20, 2008 indicating that they wish to serve as a delegate to the district convention. 

All delegates to the Congressional District Convention must be registered to vote as Democrats in New Mexico.  For additional information about Delegate Selection, please review the 2008 Delegate Selection Plan.
