Circumstances usually define the ideal candidate for any position. I believe both my professional and political background make me the ideal candidate to take advantage of this time. As West Coast Regional Manager for what was JD Power’s #1 ranked discount brokerage I organized large events; trade
shows, seminars and professional workshops. Politically, I have been active as a ‘professional volunteer’ since 1991, organizing both large and small events, managing local as well as statewide political campaigns. In New Mexico I have been honored to be elected to the SCC since 2017 and DPNM’s Affirmative Action Committee since 2019. Recently I have been elected to serve as the chair of my ward 1C in Santa Fe. We are ready to get out there and meet and interact with real people again.
My primary objective as CD-3 Vice-Chair is to maximize voter turnout heading into the mid-term elections. To accomplish this there are two goals upon which I would like to focus one which will be rather fun the other not so much.
First of all we find ourselves in a unique situation where pretty much everyone is chomping at the bit to get out there and engage socially again. My intent, once we open up again, is to work aggressively with the county chairs and their wards to establish events that will engage our active membership and appeal to a new and expanding base.
Additionally, my second goal is to re-acquaint ourselves with those who have left the party or otherwise fallen by the wayside. Accomplishing this will require cross referencing current and past voter rolls against our current contact list in each county, the not so fun part.
Thank you for your consideration and I humbly ask for your vote to serve as DPNM Vice-Chair for CD-3.
