New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham delivered a terrific performance in tonight’s first debate of the 2022 gubernatorial campaign. Her strong record delivering on the issues New Mexicans care about most shone far beyond Ronchetti’s cheap attacks and extremist policy platform.

“Governor Lujan Grisham has made an incredibly strong case for her reelection. She has delivered on the day-to-day issues New Mexico families care about like bringing jobs to the state, improving our public schools, making it easier for them to afford health care, and protecting their rights to make their own health care decisions about abortion” said Daniel Garcia, Communications Director of the Democratic Party of New Mexico. “In contrast, Mark Ronchetti tried to prop up his lack of experience and substance with far-right extremist policies that have no place in New Mexico and desperate attacks on the governor. Ronchetti made it clear that abortion, the future of our environment, and our public school systems, are all at risk in this election.”
