It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Governor Bill Richardson who dedicated his life to public service and the betterment of the world, and in particular, New Mexico. His extraordinary leadership and tireless commitment to the values of the Democratic Party will always be remembered. Governor Richardson dreamed big as New Mexico’s top executive and as a diplomat, he never backed down from the toughest jobs to save American lives, even if it meant negotiating with some of our era’s most notoriously despotic individuals.
