Finance Update

Update from Director of Finance and Operations, Barbara Ogushi

As of March 18, 2020

We are working on transitioning all fundraising efforts online in order to keep our team, our DPNM Chair and our donors and supporters completely safe during this unprecedented Coronavirus outbreak.

The Finance transition plan consists mainly of moving daily and monthly fundraising practices that require direct contact, such as incoming contributions, call time, fundraising meetings and events into a space that allows us to maintain an open line of communication in order to be efficient all while being mindful of best social distancing practices. For this reason, call time operations are now taking place 100% remotely and any upcoming fundraising meetings will be scheduled via video conference.

I am cautiously working from home and will continue to operate with our Compliance team as well as our state attorney to ensure that our upcoming FEC and State reports are accurate, transparent and completed in a timely manner via phone calls and email communications.

During this time, I am focused on making sure that our fundraising efforts continue to be intentional in order to ensure that the Democratic Party of New Mexico continues to gain momentum and strength during this crucial election cycle.
