Albuquerque- In trying to hide her extreme positions on almost every issue that came up during tonight’s debate, Michelle Garcia Holmes tried to leave out the most alarming parts of her extremist record like pledging to ban all abortion, spreading false claims about COVID-19 vaccines by saying they were killing people, supporting January 6th insurrectionists, and trying to overturn election results. But what Garcia Holmes did put on full display for New Mexico voters is her alarming lack of experience and absolute lack of concrete plans.

“The lack of experience from Michelle Garcia Holmes was evident tonight as she only offered subject changes and fear-mongering but no concrete plans during the debate,” said Democratic Party of New Mexico Communications Director Daniel Garcia. “With so much at stake this election, we can’t have someone who has pledged to ban abortion and has no experience representing New Mexico’s First District. On every topic that came up tonight, Congresswoman Melanie Stansbury demonstrated her vastly superior knowledge and accomplishments on the issues.”

While Michelle Garcia spent most of her time lobbing desperate attacks, she was unable to provide voters with positive reasons to vote for her. Rep. Stansbury on the other hand clearly detailed her accomplishments like lowering prescription drug costs, protecting water and taking on the fentanyl crisis.
