CD-1 Debate Yields Clear Winner for New Mexican Working Families

Rep. Deb Haaland and Michelle Garcia Holmes participated in the first and only first Congressional District debate. During the debate, Rep. Haaland recapped her monumental term in Congress and outlined a hopeful future for New Mexicans that invests in our renewable energy, creates good-paying jobs, and fights for our healthcare.

Once again, instead of providing real solutions for New Mexicans, Holmes would go on to lie and spread misinformation in a desperate attempt to mislead voters. She would also go on to state her support for President Trump’s COVID response and failed leadership.

“One thing is obvious. Rep. Deb Haaland is a fighter for the people. She’s lived the struggles of everyday Americans, and in Congress, she’s fought for the underrepresented,” said DPNM Chair Marg Elliston. “During Rep. Haaland’s first historical term, she fought for good-paying jobs, our healthcare, and working families. She has made us proud. I look forward to sending Rep. Deb Haaland back to Congress for a second term.”
