Online hub offers virtual trainings, town halls, and county party meetings
The Democratic Party of New Mexico (DPNM) today launched an online resource hub focused on electing Democrats up-and-down the ballot while practicing social distancing. Over the last week, DPNM has begun to operate remotely and encouraged county parties to do the same. The party has been setting up online systems in order to ensure that we are as productive and engaged as ever.
Throughout the next few weeks, DPNM plans to continue to engage Democrats across New Mexico, while doing everything possible to protect the health and wellbeing of our communities. “Campaigning During COVID-19” will have information about all upcoming events and initiatives including
- Delegate Selection Workshops
- Data, and Social Media Trainings
- Town Halls with Democratic Leaders
- Virtual Fundraising Events
- Regular County and Ward Meetings
- Remote Phonebanking Opportunities
- Regular Postcard Parties
- “Dems Care” Initiatives
- County and Ward Chair Resources
This online hub is designed to give Democratic campaigns, volunteers, and activists full access to information on DPNM’s current activity and how each department is adapting to working remotely. To view the entire site, click here.
“The Democratic Party of New Mexico is finding innovative ways to engage voters throughout New Mexico, even as we continue to practice social distancing,” said DPNM Chair Marg Elliston. As we adjust to campaigning during COVID-19, we want to make sure that our staff is as accessible and engaged as ever. We designed this website so that our supporters would be fully informed about DPNM’s current projects, upcoming events, and opportunities to get involved. As always, we’re working every day with dedicated volunteers across New Mexico to elect Democrats up-and-down the ballot.”
