DPNM Statement on Black History Month

In recognition of Black History Month, the Democratic Party of New Mexico is proud to celebrate the many contributions of New Mexico’s African American community to our state’s culture and heritage.

“This month is an opportunity to reflect on both the injustices and the triumphs of the past, to emphasize the multicultural heritage that makes New Mexico truly exceptional, and to recommit ourselves to the continuing fight for equal access to justice and representation,” said Pamelya Herndon, Chair of the Democratic Party of New Mexico’s Black Caucus and DPNM Secretary. “The New Mexico Democratic Black Caucus proudly stands with DPNM as we work together to lift up the voices of New Mexico’s African American community today and every day.”
