Herrell Must Reconsider Her Objection to Certifying the 2020 Election

Millions of Americans are watching in horror today as rioters gather outside the U.S. Capitol Building to object to the certification of the 2020 election. Encouraged by President Trump and those who support his rhetoric, violent protesters have smashed windows and forced the evacuation of both houses of Congress.

Congresswoman Yvette Herrell has repeatedly and publicly declared her plans to object to the certification of 2020 election and reject the will of the American people, making her complicit in this violence. It’s time for her to accept Joe Biden as the President of the United States and take responsibility for her dangerous rhetoric.

“Ms. Herrell, to condemn the violence is not enough. This violence is the result of misinformation that you yourself have helped to spread. If you want the violence to stop, commit to a peaceful transition of power and reverse your decision to object to the certification of this election.  Anything less is continued complicity,” said DPNM Chair Marg Elliston.
