After months of collectively objecting to recommendations that could have impacted the delivery of health care services at VA community-based outpatient clinics in Gallup, Las Vegas, Española, and Raton, New Mexico Democrats have succeeded in keeping these clinics open.
Closing these clinics would have eliminated the necessary healthcare rural veterans rely on. Many rural veterans are not able to travel long distances and would have been left without their healthcare needs being met. By successfully fighting for our state’s community-based outpatient clinics, New Mexico Democrats continue to be champions for New Mexico’s veterans and their families.
