No-Answer Nella Grants Rare Press Interview, But Dodges Interview Questions
“I'm not going to trap myself in answering hypotheticals”
No-Answer Nella spent the majority of her primary campaign refusing to do interviews with the media and dodging tough questions about issues, instead choosing to spend half a million dollars on a TV ad that conveniently glossed over her troubling record as Chief Financial Officer of Bridgewater Associates.
After officially securing the GOP nomination for New Mexico’s U.S. Senate seat last week, it doesn’t appear that No-Answer Nella’s general election strategy will be any different. In a rare press interview with the Roswell Daily Record, Nella clumsily evaded questions about border security and abortion – two issues critically important to New Mexicans – saying that she’s “not going to trap [her]self in answering hypotheticals” and that she doesn’t “have any influence over” abortion policy.
“It's clear that No-Answer Nella would rather dodge questions than face the facts. Her failure to provide clear stances on key issues like border security and abortion should concern every voter in New Mexico,” said Democratic Party of New Mexico Spokesperson Daniel Garcia. “New Mexicans deserve a candidate who will speak openly and honestly about their positions, and who is willing to engage in meaningful dialogue about the challenges our state faces—qualities that Nella clearly lacks.”
